GrayRobinson’s Government Affairs and Lobby Team Helps Secure $10 Million to Boost Orlando and Miami Bids to Host 2026 FIFA World Cup

December 8, 2021

GrayRobinson Government Affairs and Lobby Team’s Chris Carmody and Robert Stuart advocated on behalf of the City of Orlando, Greater Orlando Sports Commission, and Orange County successfully securing $10 million in funding to support both Orlando and Miami’s bids to be U.S. host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™  tournament. If selected, each city would receive $5 million to support security, transportation, and other infrastructure needs related to the event. This first-of-its-kind financial support of a city bid by the state will result in positively positioning both Orlando and Miami as standout bids.
