Florida Legislature and U.S. Congress

Florida Legislature
GrayRobinson has decades of experience in lobbying the Florida Legislature, both offensively and defensively, on behalf of both private and public entities. Many of our attorneys and consultants began their careers as staff to the Florida Legislature, Governor's Office and state agencies, providing our clients with a thorough context of the most efficient means of meeting their legislative goals.

In addition, we have decades of experience successfully representing our clients before the regulatory agencies of Florida, including but not limited to: the Department of Financial Services; the Office of Insurance Regulation; the Attorney General; the Department of Transportation; the Department of Environmental Protection; the Department of Business and Professional Regulation; the Agency for Health Care Administration; the Department of Health; and the Department of Economic Opportunity. Firm members are active in the political process and maintain close relationships with legislators, as well as with key statewide and local political leaders.

In order to have meaningful access to legislators and key staff, a firm must earn their trust and confidence. Members of the lobbying team have served as speaker of the house; chief of staff and general counsel to Governor Rick Scott; special counsel to both the Florida House and Senate; commissioners in various counties throughout Florida; and have served as general counsel for both the Florida House and Senate, among others.

U.S. Congress
Many of our government relations and lobbying professionals are retained by other prominent law firms for purposes of federal representation. Through year-round communications and consistent strategy, our team has effectively addressed civic and political issues at the federal level, expanding on the influential relationships and experience that we have cultivated for the benefit of our clients.
