WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced Phillip “Phil” Hutchinson has joined its Litigation Section as a shareholder. Based in the West Palm Beach office, Hutchinson focuses his diverse practice on economic development, complex litigation, and government affairs.
“Phil is well-known in the Palm Beaches for his professional advocacy of client interests and is an exciting addition to our group,” said GrayRobinson Litigation Section Chair Jay Brennan. “His wide-ranging practice and relentless efforts to find workable solutions are invaluable, and we have full confidence that his unique background in aerospace engineering and military experience will yield outstanding results for GrayRobinson clients.”
Hutchinson is a staunch advocate for helping clients navigate government regulatory landscapes, particularly in real estate and commercial development projects. He has over two decades of experience in government relations, real estate law, and litigation, where he successfully defends complex litigation scenarios across state and federal jurisdictions. Hutchinson maintains a diversified practice spanning product liability disputes, claims involving automobile rollovers, construction defects issues, insurance coverage defense, eminent domain actions, employment discrimination matters, non-competition agreements, and real estate disputes, including commercial leases. Before his legal career, he was a trained aerospace engineer and designed jet engines for military fighter aircraft.

Hutchinson received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida (UF) Levin College of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from UF. He is admitted to practice in Florida before the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts and before the U.S. Supreme Court. Hutchinson is an active member of various committees within The Florida Bar and serves as vice chair of the board of directors for the Urban League of Palm Beach County.
