GrayRobinson today announced that Government Affairs Advisor Katie Flury has been selected as an honoree of the Above & Beyond Award presented by City & State Florida + News Service of Florida. The first-ever Above & Beyond Awards honors the 50 most influential and thought-provoking women in Florida government and public service who have made significant contributions to society and demonstrated exemplary leadership in their field, recognizing their accomplishments in various sectors, including politics, media, education, nonprofit, and beyond. Katie is recognized as a committed advocate for clients and their needs, including health care, transportation, and worker eligibility at understaffed 911 call centers. In addition to serving clients, she has raised tens of thousands of dollars to address T-cell lymphoma research and the funding gap, personally launching a fund at the Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in the name of her late husband, Logan Goodson, who died of the rare cancer in 2021. Katie is motivated by “knowing you can make a real difference,” she says. “There's no better feeling.” Based in the firm’s Orlando office, Katie focuses her practice on a myriad of issues before state and local government and is known for her expertise in emerging technology, health care, sports, and transportation topics.
