ORLANDO, Fla. – GrayRobinson is pleased to announce Jamie L. White has joined the firm as a shareholder in its Labor and Employment Section. Based in the Orlando office, White focuses her practice on employment and business litigation defense in federal and state courts.
“Jamie's emphasis on preventative counseling and early case assessment is valuable for employers who want to resolve disputes efficiently and avoid unnecessary exposure down the road,” said GrayRobinson Labor and Employment Section Chair Marlene Quintana, B.C.S. “Her steadfast focus on achieving client objectives is a perfect fit for our clients-first approach, and we’re excited to have her on our team.”
White advises employers in the public and private sectors, including nonprofit organizations, on employment matters and business disputes, with an emphasis on preventative counseling and early assessment. She handles disputes and appeals involving employment, business, and education-related claims, including serving as co-counsel in federal and state court trials, and she has briefed and argued more than a dozen appeals, providing a perspective that encompasses matters at both the trial and appellate levels. Earlier in her career, White served as a federal and trial court law clerk, roles that provided her with insight into judicial decision-making and the presentation and evaluation of cases throughout the litigation process.
“Having known and worked alongside some of GrayRobinson’s attorneys for many years, I am excited to formally join a team that I have long respected,” said White. “My background as a federal and trial court law clerk gave me a close look at how judges weigh these cases, and I bring that vantage point to how I counsel and advocate for clients at GrayRobinson.”
White has served as secretary and treasurer of the North Central Florida Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA), and as a director at large and communications director of the Orlando Chapter of the FBA. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida (UF) College of Law and her Bachelor of Science from UF. White is admitted to practice in Florida and Massachusetts, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida; the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
