Jamie L. White focuses her practice on employment matters and business litigation in federal and state courts. She advises employers in the public and private sector, including nonprofit organizations, on employment matters and business disputes, with an emphasis on preventative counseling and early assessment. Jamie approaches each matter with deep focus on the client’s objectives and considers the legal and practical issues that may affect a matter through each step from inception through conclusion.

Jamie handles disputes and appeals involving employment, business, and education-related claims. Her work includes serving as co-counsel in federal and state court trials. She has briefed and argued more than a dozen appeals, providing a perspective that encompasses matters at both the trial and appellate levels.

Earlier in her career, Jamie served as a federal and trial court law clerk. These roles provided her with insight into judicial decision-making and the presentation and evaluation of cases throughout the litigation process.

  • Gaines v. Twin Oaks: Secured dismissal with prejudice on the grounds that the statute of limitations had passed, resolving the matter approximately seven months from filing.
  • Olson v. Goodwill Manasota: Secured dismissal of an impermissible shotgun pleading before discovery commenced.
  • Perfect Bites v. Atlantic Frozen Foods: Resolved a dispute between competing businesses through voluntarily dismissal with prejudice, without award to either side, eliminating the client’s exposure.
  • Whetstone v. Alachua County School Board: Secured summary judgment in federal court, resulting in dismissal of the case with prejudice.
  • Whitehead v. North Florida Regional Medical Center: Secured a complete defense verdict following a state court jury trial.
  • Harris v. Taylor County School Board: Secured a complete defense verdict following a federal jury trial and successfully defended the result on appeal, resolving the matter wholly in favor of the client.
