GrayRobinson is pleased to announce Shareholders Roger Handberg and Sarah Reiner will present at the Florida Tax Collectors Association's 2026 Education Forum, taking place August 31, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.
Roger will present "Elder Fraud Schemes and Their Connections to Tax Collector's Offices." The session covers common elder fraud schemes and their connections to tax collector's offices, providing the current state of the law along with practical examples focused on fact patterns tax collector’s offices are most likely to encounter.
Sarah will present "Employment Law Update." The session provides the current state of the law on employment issues along with practical examples focused on fact patterns tax collector’s offices are most likely to encounter.
Based in the firm’s Orlando office, Roger brings more than two decades of prosecutorial and litigation experience to the firm’s criminal and white-collar defense practice. He previously served as U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, where he directed an office of more than 120 attorneys, and earlier held senior posts within the U.S. Department of Justice and the Florida Attorney General’s Office. Roger was appointed to The Florida Bar’s Criminal Procedure Rules Committee for a term beginning July 1, 2026, and previously chaired the Florida Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s White Collar Crime Committee.
Also based in the firm’s Orlando office, Sarah practices employment law and commercial litigation, defending private and public employers in workplace litigation at the agency, state, and federal levels. Her practice includes non-compete and contract disputes, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower claims, and wage and hour issues arising under laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act and Family Medical Leave Act. She also advises clients on workplace policies and procedures, internal investigations, employee relations, and agency audits, with particular experience counseling employers in Florida’s cannabis industry. Sarah is a past president of the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers and was named to Best Lawyers in America for Employment Law – Management and Litigation – Labor and Employment, 2025-2027.
