GrayRobinson’s Roy Kobert and Luis Rivera will present at the 46th Annual Alexander L. Paskay Memorial Bankruptcy Seminar hosted by the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and Stetson University College of Law on March 29-31 in Tampa, Florida. Rivera will participate as a member of a practice workshop focusing on student loan strategies, tax issues, dealing with the Chapter 7 trustee, violations of the discharge injunction, and recent bankruptcy court decisions interpreting the Supreme Court’s 2019 decision in Taggart v. Lorenzen. Kobert will moderate the "Judicial Merry-Go-Round," a rapid-fire roundtable discussion featuring eight of the bankruptcy judges of the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. This Bankruptcy Seminar is a memorial CLE program which honors the lifetime achievements of the late Bankruptcy Judge Alexander L. Paskay and provides an opportunity for insolvency professionals to discuss the most current commercial and consumer bankruptcy issues with a faculty of prominent regional and national speakers and bankruptcy judges.
