GrayRobinson is pleased to share Shareholder Rupa Lloyd and Senior Associate David Allen delivered a CLE presentation, "Do's and Don'ts of Data Privacy and Protection," to Florida Department of Health attorneys on September 24, 2026, via Teams.
The CLE presentation covered the landscape of federal and State of Florida privacy laws, practical tips for navigating relationships with tech vendors, procurement, data sharing, AI governance, privacy, and ethics, as well as incident response and breach determination.
Based in the firm’s Gainesville office, Rupa’s expertise is in healthcare law, advising hospitals and health systems, health insurance providers, exempt organizations, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, physician groups, and other regulated providers on operational, transactional, compliance, and regulatory matters. She is current chair of the Florida Bar Health Law Section, an approved mediator with the American Health Lawyers Dispute Resolution Service, has authored articles with the American Health Lawyers Association and MGMA, lectured as an adjunct Professor of Law with University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate Healthcare Compliance program, participated as a guest lecturer at the University of Florida (UF) Levin College of Law and as a visiting Professor of Law at the University of Toledo College of Law. She is an advisory board member of Barwick Banking Company, an advisor with UF Innovate, a board member of HCA Florida North Florida, serves on the Public Policy Committee of the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce, and is a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International. She was also named to Best Lawyers in America for Health Care Law in 2027.
Based in the firm’s Miami office, David focuses his practice on healthcare law, government affairs and lobbying, corporate matters, and data privacy and security. He advises healthcare clients on regulatory compliance, transactional structuring, and data privacy. He also lobbies on behalf of clients to advance their legislative and funding priorities during each Florida legislative session. David previously served as a legislative assistant in the Florida House of Representatives and as a campaign manager for state-level elected officials. He is a member of The Florida Bar Health Law Section, where he chairs the Data Integrity/AI Committee and co-chairs the Legislative Committee. David was named to the Health Law Section’s 2026 Top 10 Under 40 and a 2024 Rising Star by INFLUENCE Magazine, and he has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Corporate and Health Care Law in the 2026 and 2027 editions.
