GrayRobinson is pleased to share Labor and Employment Section Chair Marlene Quintana will present “Mediator Insider Insights” at the National Plaintiffs’ Summit: Sexual Harassment and Employment Discrimination on February 23, 2026, in Miami, Florida. Marlene will participate in a candid discussion focused on how mediation can make or break the outcome of a harassment or discrimination case and how plaintiffs’ counsel can more effectively navigate the process.
The session will examine how mediators perceive the dynamics in the room, what strategies shift settlement value, and the missteps that can stall resolution. The discussion will address what truly moves the dial in mediation, including damages narratives, credibility factors, and risk framing. The panel will also explore common mistakes plaintiffs’ attorneys make in tone, presentation, or demand strategy, along with practical guidance on timing and pacing of offers and demands to keep negotiations on track.
Based in the firm's Miami office, Marlene is board-certified in Labor and Employment Law by The Florida Bar and represents private and public sector employers in both labor and employment law matters. She has litigated and advised clients in federal civil rights issues and other federal and state employment matters such as the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and the federal and state whistleblower statutes. Marlene has proven herself to be an effective mediator, having mediated over 2500 federal and state court cases. She is a certified civil circuit mediator and certified in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
