GrayRobinson is pleased to share Litigation Deputy Section Chair Rachael Crews and Shareholder Campbell McLean presented “Contested Order of Taking (OT) Roundtable: Practice Pointers for a Contested OT from Both Owner and Condemning Authority Perspectives” at the 29th Annual Florida Eminent Domain Conference. The conference brought together attorneys, appraisers, and real estate professionals from across Florida to discuss emerging trends and challenges in eminent-domain law.

In their presentation, Rachael and Campbell provided an overview of the OT process and its evolution over the past 30 years. They examined contested OTs from the condemning authority and property owner’s perspective, highlighting practical considerations, procedural pitfalls, and strategic approaches.
