GrayRobinson is pleased to share Gainesville Deputy Managing Shareholder Rupa Lloyd, serving in her capacity as chair of The Florida Bar’s Health Law Section, hosted a Fireside Chat with former Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Chief of Staff Stefan Grow. The Fireside Chat series is part of an ongoing initiative by the Health Law Section to provide members with in-depth insights from leading experts in health law and policy.
During their conversation, Stefan drew on his extensive experience in both public service and private practice to offer a unique perspective on the evolution of health law in Florida. He discussed how his work as general counsel and later chief of staff at AHCA – including his role in regulatory reform and major initiatives like repeal of Certificate of Need – informed his approach to Medicaid oversight, hospital regulation, and health care policy. He also shared career advice for younger attorneys, emphasizing the importance of asking questions, seizing opportunities, and remaining adaptable. Looking ahead, Stefan addressed emerging trends in health care, including technologies like remote patient monitoring and “hospital-at-home” models, and reflected on how regulatory frameworks must evolve to keep pace.
