ORLANDO, Fla. – GrayRobinson is pleased to announce Stephen A. Luongo and Alexa Joy Kleinberg have joined the firm's Litigation Section. Luongo joins as a shareholder in the Pensacola office, and Kleinberg joins as an associate in the Boca Raton office.

“Stephen is a seasoned trial attorney whose background as a prosecutor gives him the 360-degree viewpoint needed to help our clients prevail in legal proceedings,” said GrayRobinson Litigation Section Chair John M. “Jay” Brennan. “Alexa’s practical understanding of litigation strategy informs her defense of government entities involved in disputes. We are happy to have them both on our team.”

Stephen A. Luongo, Shareholder, Pensacola

“From complex business disputes to construction and liability claims, I prepare every case for the courtroom. That approach took root during my years as a prosecutor and was sharpened in high-stakes litigation, and GrayRobinson’s statewide platform lets me bring it to clients in Northwest Florida and beyond.” – Stephen A. Luongo

Luongo represents clients in complex civil litigation involving commercial disputes, construction and development claims, product liability, personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage claims. His mass tort work includes the National Prescription Opiate Litigation and 3M Combat Arms Earplug Litigation.

Luongo began his legal career as an assistant state attorney in Florida's 1st Judicial Circuit, and he later served as a special prosecutor.

Luongo is president of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association, an executive council board member of the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation, vice chairman of First Tee Gulf Coast, and a board member of the Pensacola Navy League. He earned his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law and his Bachelor of Science from Elizabethtown College. He is admitted to practice in Florida, before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Alexa Joy Kleinberg, Associate, Boca Raton

Kleinberg represents government entities in commercial litigation, premises liability, and personal injury matters. Before focusing her practice on government defense, she represented multinational insurance carriers in first- and third-party property claims, coverage disputes, and bad faith matters across multiple jurisdictions. Her broader experience includes condominium and homeowners' association matters, First Amendment issues, employment and labor disputes, and an internship with the Office of the State Attorney for Florida's 17th Judicial Circuit. Kleinberg also holds a Florida real estate license, which informs her work on property-related disputes.

Kleinberg is the assistant development director of the South Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, a director of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section, and a chaplain of the National Chaplains Association.
