MIAMI, Fla. – GrayRobinson is pleased to share Shareholder Stephanie Carman has been reappointed to the University of Miami (UM) Law Alumni Association Board of Directors, where she will continue to serve as co-chair of the National Alumni Advisory Council. Her term runs from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027.
The National Alumni Advisory Council supports the UM School of Law's efforts to engage graduates across the country, strengthening ties between alumni and the law school through mentorship, networking, and philanthropic initiatives. Carman previously served as president of the UM Law Alumni Association from 2023 to 2024 and remains an active presenter and panelist at alumni receptions, networking programs, and orientation sessions hosted by the law school.
Based in the firm’s Miami office, Carman focuses her practice on healthcare, litigation, investigations and data privacy and security. She represents academic medical centers, large hospital systems, home health, hospice and personal care providers, as well as laboratories, information technology, and device companies, in healthcare regulatory compliance, internal investigations, mergers and acquisitions, accreditation and payor matters and complex litigation involving false claims, fraud and abuse, and qui tam actions. She also advises corporate and individual clients in administrative and trial court matters and appeals, and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator. Carman is a past president of the Miami-Dade Bar Association and also serves as a board member of Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc., where she chairs the Membership Committee. She is recognized in Chambers USA for healthcare (2021-2026) and Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation (2022-2026).
