ORLANDO, Fla. – GrayRobinson is proud to announce Shareholders Roger Handberg and Jack Reiter have been appointed to serve on The Florida Bar’s Court Rules Committees for terms beginning July 1, 2026. Handberg will serve on the Criminal Procedure Rules Committee and Reiter will serve on the Civil Procedure Rules Committee.
The Criminal Procedure Rules and Civil Procedure Rules Committees are among The Florida Bar's Court Rules Committees, which operate under Rule 2.140 of the Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration to propose new rules of procedure and recommend changes to existing rules for adoption by the Florida Supreme Court.
Based in the firm's Orlando office, Handberg brings more than two decades of prosecutorial and litigation experience to the firm's criminal and white-collar defense practice. He previously served as U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, where he directed an office of more than 120 attorneys, and earlier held senior posts within the U.S. Department of Justice and the Florida Attorney General's Office.
Based in the firm's Miami office, Reiter leads the GrayRobinson Appellate Team and is board-certified by The Florida Bar in Appellate Practice. Over a nearly 30-year career, he has briefed and argued hundreds of appeals and provides trial support in commercial and business disputes, insurance matters, and product liability cases, including drafting and arguing motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and post-trial motions preserving issues for appeal. He previously chaired The Florida Bar's Appellate Court Rules Committee and Appellate Practice Section, as well as the Dade County Bar Association's Appellate Court Committee, and served on The Florida Bar's Standard Civil Jury Instruction Committee from 2020 to 2023. Reiter has been recognized by Chambers USA for appellate litigation every year since 2017.
