GrayRobinson Labor and Employment Section Chair Marlene Quintana Appointed to University of Miami Board of Directors

MIAMI, Fla. – GrayRobinson is proud to announce Labor and Employment Section Chair Marlene Quintana, B.C.S., has been appointed to the University of Miami (UM) Board of Directors, effective June 11, 2026. 

The appointment deepens a connection Quintana has maintained with her law school alma mater for decades. She previously served as a director of the UM School of Law Alumni Association and received the school's Alumni Leadership Award in 2008. In her new role, she will help guide the law school's strategic direction and advance its mission of excellence in legal education. 

Based in the firm's Miami office, Quintana is board-certified in Labor and Employment Law by The Florida Bar and represents private and public sector employers in labor and employment matters, including federal civil rights litigation, wage and hour disputes, and whistleblower defense. She has served on the Board of Legal Specialization and Education and the Labor and Employment Law Section Executive Council. A certified civil circuit mediator, Quintana has mediated more than 2,000 federal and state court cases and is certified in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Her civic leadership includes serving as president of the Cuban American Bar Association, chairing the 11th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, and serving as the President of Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services. She is also a Leadership Florida alumna. Quintana is consistently recognized among Florida's top labor and employment attorneys by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and Florida Trend, among others.
