GrayRobinson Appoints New Leaders Across Key Offices

ORLANDO, Fla. – GrayRobinson is pleased to announce new leadership appointments in its Tallahassee and Southwest Florida offices. George T. Levesque has been named managing shareholder of the Tallahassee office. In Southwest Florida, Richard J. “Rick” Swift, Jr. will serve as the Fort Myers managing shareholder, Shaun M. Garry as the Naples managing shareholder, and David A. Ruben as the deputy managing shareholder for both locations.

Levesque is an accomplished attorney and policy advisor with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of law and politics, including extensive experience in civil and administrative litigation. A former general counsel to both the Florida House and Senate, Levesque brings a rare depth of legislative insight and strategic judgment to his work. In addition to representing public- and private-sector clients before federal and state courts and administrative tribunals, he also advises on legislative, regulatory, and political law matters, helping clients navigate complex policy and rule-making environments across Florida’s evolving political landscape.

Richard J. “Rick” Swift, Jr., Fort Myers Managing Shareholder

Swift is an experienced transactional lawyer with 23 years of experience representing large financial institutions, developers, investors, and private clients in real estate financings and commercial and residential development across Southwest Florida. He regularly handles large acquisitions, dispositions, and loans for a dynamic mix of property types and investment portfolios, including shopping plazas, apartment complexes, and industrial and storage facilities, among others. In addition to his real estate offerings, Swift has significant experience forming and creating business entities for small businesses and other general corporate matters.

Shaun M. Garry, Naples Managing Shareholder

Garry focuses his practice on residential and commercial real estate, title insurance, estate planning, business transactions, and estate administration. He has a wide variety of business and real estate legal experience, including residential and commercial real estate closings, contract preparation, title examination, issuance of title insurance, and financing and refinancing strategies, including 1031 exchange transactions, and formation and representation of entities, including corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and general and limited partnerships. Garry is a member of The Attorneys’ Title Insurance Fund, Inc. and serves as an attorney agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Co., First American, and Chicago Title Insurance Company. He also prepares wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, and advance directives to meet clients’ estate planning needs, and represents personal representatives and trustees in the administration of probate estates and trusts.

David A. Ruben, Fort Myers and Naples Deputy Managing Shareholder

Ruben is a trusted advisor dedicated to protecting and preserving the wealth of Floridians. He focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, tax planning and wealth transfer, trust administration, and Florida domicile planning. Ruben has authored or co-authored more than a dozen articles on a variety of estate planning issues, including a book on intentionally defective grantor trusts. He is also a frequent speaker on change of domicile, estate tax planning, and probate avoidance strategies.
