GrayRobinson today announced Shareholder Thomasina Moore has been appointed by Chief Justice Muñiz to serve on the Advisory Committee for the 2024 Pro Bono Service Awards. As a member of the Advisory Committee, Thomasina is responsible for reviewing nominations and recommending award recipients. The annual Pro Bono Service Awards are presented by the Florida Supreme Court and The Florida Bar to honor and recognize lawyers, groups, and judiciary members who have freely given their time and expertise in ensuring access to justice for those who otherwise could not afford it. Honorees are nominated by legal aid groups, fellow lawyers, or anyone else who knows of exceptional pro bono service provided by a lawyer, judge, voluntary bar, or law firm. The Chief Justice’s Pro Bono Advisory Committee recommends the remaining honorees to the chief justice of the Florida Supreme Court, who makes the final decision.
