ORLANDO, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced Carlos J. Reyes has joined its Real Estate Practice as shareholder in the Orlando office, where he will focus on negotiating and protecting clients in challenging commercial real estate transactions and litigation matters. Reyes will also routinely serve clients out of the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.

Reyes represents asset and loan portfolio managers, private lenders, and investors in connection with complex commercial foreclosure litigation. He has experience prosecuting and defending claims involving breach of contracts, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and partition actions. Reyes’ additional litigation experience includes trade secret violations and breach of non-compete agreements.
Reyes also represents buyers, sellers, investors, and development groups on the transactional side in connection with all aspects of purchasing, selling, or developing commercial real estate, including contract negotiations for sale and purchase agreements, construction loans, loan refinancing, due diligence, title review, and policy issuance. He handles commercial real estate lease drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and execution for landlords and tenants. Reyes has closed more than $100 million in commercial closings.

Reyes received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Florida. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
