MIAMI, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced Fabian A. Ruiz has joined the firm’s Labor and Employment Team in Miami, where he will handle employment disputes and traditional labor matters on behalf of companies.
Ruiz focuses his practice on helping employers navigate employment-related laws and regulations, ranging from providing employers with preventative counseling and training on numerous employment law topics (in English and Spanish), to representing unionized and non-unionized employers in federal, state, and local lawsuits and administrative proceedings, including before the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Florida Commission on Human Rights. Ruiz also has experience in arbitrating employment matters from inception to complete dismissal in a wide range of industries, specializing in restaurant, grocery, retail, construction, health care, and media.
Ruiz received his juris doctorate from Rutgers University and also his dual Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Spanish Literature. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and has a professional working proficiency of Portuguese. Ruiz is admitted to practice in the state courts of Florida and New Jersey, and is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida; and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
