GrayRobinson is pleased to share the Government Affairs and Lobbying Section hosted its "2026 Legislative Session Overtime Update," bringing together clients and colleagues for an overview of what lies ahead as lawmakers return in special session to finalize the budget and address outstanding issues.
GrayRobinson Government Affairs Advisors Kylee Anzueto, Chris Carmody, and Robert Stuart provided insights on key developments, remaining differences, and what to expect as the 2026 session heads into overtime.
Kylee is a government affairs advisor in GrayRobinson’s Orlando office, specializing in policy and appropriations at both the Florida Capitol and local levels. She provides clients with strategic advocacy, and tailored government affairs updates, while cultivating relationships with elected officials and representing the firm at key board meetings. Prior to joining GrayRobinson, Kylee served on the Government and Community Relations team at the University of Central Florida and held government relations roles with Publix Super Markets, Inc., and the City of Orlando's Intergovernmental Relations Office. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Lifeboat Project, co-chairs the Government Advisory Committee of the Osceola Chamber, and is a member of the Heart of Florida United Way Emerging Leaders Advisory Board.
Chris is a shareholder in GrayRobinson's Orlando and Tallahassee offices, focusing on government affairs, lobbying, litigation, land use, construction, and sports law. A professional lobbyist and licensed attorney, he represents clients ranging from small municipalities to Fortune 500 companies before the Florida legislative and executive branches, with experience spanning landmark legislation, the appropriations process, purchasing and procurement appeals, and complex regulatory approvals. He also advises contractors, developers, and sports organizations, including the Central Florida Sports Commission, on land use, construction, and legislative matters. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America as Government Relations Practice Lawyer of the Year for 2026, serves as board president of the Track Shack Youth Foundation, and chairs the IDignity board.
Robert is a senior government affairs advisor in GrayRobinson's Orlando and Tallahassee offices, focusing on government affairs and lobbying. A designated professional lobbyist, he represents local government entities, including law enforcement offices, school boards, airport authorities, and clerks of courts, and Fortune 500 companies before the Florida Legislature, the Executive Office of the Governor, the Florida Cabinet, and state agencies on matters spanning economic development, education, transportation, insurance, and local government. He serves as board chair of Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando and Osceola County, chairs the Orlando Economic Partnership Legislative Affairs Committee, and is an executive board member of Florida Citrus Sports.
