Johneeka M. Simpson is an associate attorney practicing out of GrayRobinson’s Fort Lauderdale office. Her practice includes handling a diverse range of litigation, including complex commercial disputes, class actions, product liability cases, landlord-tenant disputes, and labor and employment matters. While Johneeka is highly skilled in oral advocacy for her clients in court, she is equally committed to resolving issues outside the courtroom whenever possible.

In the managed care sector, Johneeka routinely represents insurers, third-party administrators, and self-funded plans in the defense of both complex, multi-member actions and single-plaintiff cases, while also advising managed care organizations on contractual and claims-related disputes.   • Assisted in securing dismissal of an action brought by an air ambulance carrier against an insurer in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida based on preemption under the Airline Deregulation Act. The dismissal was subsequently affirmed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
  • Represented a Texas-based recruitment agency in recovering  an outstanding balance from a Florida construction company, resulting in a complete recovery for the client.
