Seasoned trial lawyer, counselor, and legal executive with decades of experience at the highest levels of government, industry, and private practice. Guides clients through complex disputes and regulatory challenges with practical judgment and proven insight.
Charlie Trippe has deep experience in civil litigation, transportation law, government practice, and alternative dispute resolution. He has decades of experience in complex civil litigation in courts throughout the Eastern United States. As former chief counsel of the Federal Aviation Administration and senior in-house attorney for one of the nation’s largest freight railroads, he was responsible for high-risk and high-value litigation while gaining extensive experience with the transportation industry’s legal and regulatory challenges. His approach blends seasoned litigation judgment with a practical understanding of transportation issues.
Charlie has also served as a counselor to senior government leadership. In addition to leading the FAA legal team and advising its senior leadership, he has served as general counsel to both former Florida Governor (now Senator) Rick Scott and former Florida Attorney General (now Senator) Ashley Moody. In those positions, he dealt with complex legal and policy issues affecting the citizens of Florida. This combination of complex litigation experience, transportation sector knowledge, and public service equips him to address client challenges from a unique perspective. He is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Mediator and experienced arbitrator.
Whether counseling clients on regulatory and litigation risk, assisting with the resolution of complex litigation matters, or advising on transportation policy and regulatory issues, Charlie provides the practical counsel and steady judgment clients need to protect their businesses and achieve successful outcomes.
