Anastasia Protopapadakis Discusses the New Proposed Online Accessibility Act in Restaurant Hospitality

Miami, Fla. – October 12, 2020 – GrayRobinson, P.A. (GrayRobinson) Attorney Anastasia Protopapadakis, shareholder in the Miami law firm and Fort Lauderdale law firm offices, was quoted in the Restaurant Hospitality article, "Here’s what restaurant owners need to know about the new Online Accessibility Act introduced to Congress, according to a defense attorney." In the article, Protopapadakis discusses how the proposed new Online Accessibility Act would affect businesses and what operators need to do to be in compliance. She points out that the bill proposes a pre-suit exhaustion of remedies requirement, which would include a requirement that a person claiming an ADA violation to a website or mobile application provide a 90-day notice to cure before filing a lawsuit. "That tells me that this bill is squarely aimed at reducing number of serial plaintiffs that file mobile/website lawsuits," says Protopapadakis.
