GrayRobinson Shareholder Elizabeth DeConti today presented “Metaverse, NFTs, and Crypto Revisited” as a panelist at the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association’s (NABCA) 30th Annual Symposium on Alcohol Beverage Law and Regulation on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City in Arlington, Virginia. The presentation addressed the Metaverse, NFTs, and Cryptocurrency and discussed industry members living in Web 3 who use the Metaverse as another platform for advertising virtual parties and experiences, as well as product education. Additionally, DeConti’s presentation covered how the Metaverse can be a different way to reach a new generation of digitally savvy consumers who do not engage in traditional media on a significant level and explained unresolved legal issues in the space such as advertising rules and mandatory statements, tied house, and unlicensed sales of alcoholic beverages.
