GrayRobinson is pleased to announce Regulated Products Section Chair Elizabeth DeConti will present "Cocktails, Content and Compliance: Navigating Alcohol Marketing in the Digital Age" at the Hospitality Law Conference on October 29, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
Social media, influencer partnerships, user-generated content, loyalty programs, and digital promotions have become essential marketing tools for hospitality businesses, but they also create significant regulatory risks. Elizabeth's session will explore how federal and state alcohol advertising laws intersect with Federal Trade Commission endorsement rules, platform policies, sweepstakes regulations, and age-gating requirements. Attendees will learn practical strategies for promoting alcoholic beverages while minimizing compliance risks.
Based in the firm's Tampa office, Elizabeth focuses her practice on alcohol beverage and food law regulation, licensing, compliance, and promotion. For more than 25 years, she has represented major alcohol suppliers, wholesalers, national chain retailers, and hospitality industry clients before state and federal courts and administrative agencies on matters ranging from complex commercial litigation and franchise disputes to digital advertising compliance, sweepstakes regulations, and large-scale liquor license transactions. Fluent in French and Italian, she also advises European clients and foreign entities on international matters, including winery acquisitions and cross-border regulatory compliance. She has been consistently recognized by Chambers USA in Food and Beverages: Alcohol and by Best Lawyers in America in Administrative/Regulatory Law.
