GrayRobinson Shareholders Kellie Caggiano and Rick Rowe to Speak on Managing Construction Contracts with ABC Florida Gulf Coast

GrayRobinson is pleased to announce Shareholders Kellie Caggiano and Rick Rowe will present "Blueprints and Bottom Lines: Managing Construction Contracts Effectively" as part of a Lunch and Learn hosted by Associated Contractors and Builders (ABC) Florida Gulf Coast on August 13, 2026, at 11:30 am ET in Tampa, Florida. 

During the session, Kellie and Rick will cover important contract provisions, including requests for payment, flow-down provisions, indemnification clauses, and waivers of consequential and liquidated damages. Attendees will benefit from practical strategies for managing contract obligations, documenting project issues, minimizing disputes, handling change orders, and reducing exposure to costly claims throughout the life of a construction project. 

Based in the firm’s Tampa office, Kellie is a member of the GrayRobinson Construction Team and is board-certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar. With over two decades of experience, she defends contractors, subcontractors, developers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals in complex construction litigation throughout Florida, focusing on construction defect litigation, professional liability defense, and wrongful death and personal injury defense for construction entities. She regularly handles claims exceeding $10 million from case inception through trial and has represented clients in trial-level and appellate litigation addressing Florida’s statute of repose. She previously served as a president of the Construction Litigation Management North Florida Chapter and is an active member of the ABC Gulf Coast Chapter. Kellie also serves as co-chair of the Construction Litigation Management Property Conference Committee and frequently presents on construction-related topics. She was named a 2020 Woman Leader in Law by American Lawyer Magazine and is recognized in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers of America.

Based in the firm's Tampa office, Rick is a member of the GrayRobinson Construction Team and is board-certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar. With a focus on construction law and commercial litigation, he represents contractors and developers throughout North, Central, and South Florida and has worked on a variety of residential and commercial projects in Florida. He also practices civil appellate law and frequently handles complex construction matters before Florida's District Courts of Appeal. Beyond the courtroom, he handles transactional matters including drafting construction contracts and LLC operating agreements, negotiating construction liens and preparing deeds, and navigates issues such as Florida's statute of repose, associations' standing to sue for matters of common interest, and comparative fault in construction defect claims. Rick chaired the St. Petersburg Bar Association’s Construction Law Section from 2023-2024 and was named to the 2025-2026 Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
