GrayRobinson is pleased to share Shareholder Roger Handberg will serve as a panelist on "Ethical Issues at Sentencing" during The Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich 35th Annual National Seminar on Federal Sentencing on July 30, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.
The seminar brings together prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges, and probation officers for an in-depth look at current developments in federal sentencing law and practice. Roger's panel will examine the ethical considerations attorneys face at sentencing, one of several sessions at this year's program covering topics ranging from judicial perspectives on sentencing to mitigation and trauma-informed advocacy.
Based in the firm’s Orlando office, Handberg brings more than two decades of prosecutorial and litigation experience to the firm’s criminal and white-collar defense practice. He previously served as U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, where he directed an office of more than 120 attorneys, and earlier held senior posts within the U.S. Department of Justice and the Florida Attorney General’s Office. Handberg was appointed to The Florida Bar’s Criminal Procedure Rules Committee for a term beginning July 1, 2026, and previously chaired the Florida Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s White Collar Crime Committee.
