GrayRobinson is pleased to share Shareholder Ashlea Edwards presented "Wage & Hour Lawsuits: The New Class Action Threat," a live member-exclusive webinar hosted by the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Northeast Florida Chapter (FRLANEFL).  

In this session, Ashlea guided restaurant and lodging operators, owners, managers, and HR professionals through the wage and hour compliance risks most likely to trigger class action claims in today's hospitality environment. Topics included tip credit mistakes, tip pooling rules, side work and the dual jobs rule under the latest guidance, the legal distinction between automatic service charges and gratuities, overtime misclassification, and considerations around arbitration agreements. Attendees left with practical steps they can implement immediately to protect their businesses, their teams, and their bottom lines. 

Based in the firm’s Jacksonville office, Ashlea concentrates her practice on labor and employment litigation and compliance counseling, representing employers in matters involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower allegations, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and proceedings before the EEOC, the U.S. Department of Labor, and other administrative bodies. She also represents clients in complex commercial litigation involving contract disputes, construction defects, and fraudulent transfers litigating cases across Florida in state, federal, and appellate courts and advising clients in industries, including health care and financial services. Named the 2025 Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association Woman of the Year, she previously served as past president of The Florida Bar’s Young Lawyers Division.
