GrayRobinson is pleased to share Shareholder Lauren Eliopoulos, B.C.S., presented “Sticks & Bricks of Construction Seminar on Curtain Walls” at the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction Law’s Construction Law Essentials seminar in Orlando, Florida. Her session was part of the ABA Forum on Construction Law’s two-day regional program covering foundational topics in construction law and joint presentations from experts and attorneys covering the key areas of defects typically seen in construction cases. CLE credits were available for attendees.
Lauren’s presentation addressed the material characteristics and design and construction principles of exterior wall systems, with a focus on curtain wall systems, installation issues that commonly lead to water intrusion, performance failures, and resulting claims.
Lauren is board-certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar and focuses her practice on all aspects of construction-related matters from contract preparation and execution, to liens, and defect lawsuits. Lauren has a strong track record of successfully resolving claims at all stages, from pre-suit negotiations through litigation, arbitration, and trial. In addition to her legal practice, Lauren delivers valuable continuing education. She regularly presents courses for insurance adjusters and contractors, covering essential topics, such as Florida Statute 558, changes regarding the Statute of Repose, risk transfer analysis, and case resolution strategies.
