GrayRobinson is pleased to announce General Counsel and Labor and Employment Deputy Section Chair Stephanie Marchman will be presenting "Sunshine Law/Ethics Considerations in Collective Bargaining" at the upcoming 51st Annual Public Employment Labor Relations Forum, hosted by The Florida Bar City, County, and Local Government Law and Labor and Employment Law Sections.
Stephanie's session will explore the intersection of Florida's Sunshine Law and the ethical standards outlined in Part III of Chapter 112, Florida Statutes, as they pertain to public sector collective bargaining. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of how these laws govern the actions of public officers and employees during the bargaining process. Stephanie will provide practical guidance for local government attorneys to navigate these legal frameworks effectively, ensuring compliance and promoting transparency throughout the collective bargaining process.
Stephanie is board-certified in Labor and Employment Law by The Florida Bar and serves as The Florida Bar Board of Governors Liaison to the Labor and Employment Law Section’s Executive Council. She represents private and public sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including providing general labor and employment counsel, engaging in employment and labor agreement negotiations, developing sound employment policies and practices, delivering customized workforce training, conducting workplace investigations, defending employers in labor and employment litigation, and representing parties in non-compete litigation.
