GrayRobinson Attorney To Serve On The Board Of Directors Of Synovus Bank

JACKSONVILLE, FL -February 9, 2012 - Kenneth B. Jacobs, managing shareholder of the Jacksonville office of GrayRobinson, P.A., has been elected to serve on the board of directors of Synovus Bank, one of the largest community banks in the Southeast.

Jacobs is a commercial litigator with substantial experience representing debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases and debt workouts. He has also arbitrated employment and commercial claims, as well as handled a wide range of employment issues, contract disputes, commercial lending matters and complex construction cases.

The "AV"-rated attorney is a member of The Florida Bar and the Jacksonville Bar Association. He is on the board of directors for the JCC Association of North America, and has served on the board of governors of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. Previously, Jacobs served as president of the David A. Stein Jewish Community Alliance and as chair of Jacksonville Business Link. In addition, he is admitted to practice in the United States District Court’s Middle District of Florida, Northern District of Florida, Southern District of Florida as well as the United States Court of Appeals’ Eleventh Circuit.

Jacobs received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, where he was board member of the Florida Law Review and a State Finalist on the Florida Trial Competition Team. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Duke University and graduated from Leadership Jacksonville’s Class 2005.
