Adwar and Jessica V. Jackson as of counsel and Charles J. Roussin as senior associate. Renee J. Adwar, Of Counsel, Real Estate and Land Use, Fort Lauderdale
Adwar focuses her practice on residential and commercial real estate transactions, title issues, and related disputes. She guides clients through all stages of real estate deals, from contract negotiation through closing, and regularly drafts and negotiates commercial leases on behalf of landlords and tenants. Her practice also encompasses corporate and business law matters, including entity formation, operating agreements, and the purchase and sale of businesses and business assets.
Adwar earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Stony Brook University. She is admitted to practice in Florida, before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Jessica V. Jackson, Of Counsel, Construction, Tampa
Jackson focuses her practice on construction litigation and dispute resolution for contractors, architects, engineers, design professionals, and joint ventures involved in public and private projects. Her matters range from construction defect and design error claims to bond and lien disputes, professional negligence, and catastrophic loss matters. She has handled high-stakes, technically complex disputes for national and international companies and has achieved favorable resolutions in cases involving public entities and sovereign immunity defenses. Jackson also assists clients with large-scale infrastructure disputes, including the preparation of certified claims submitted to public agencies.
Jackson earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and her Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida. She is admitted to practice in Florida.
Charles J. Roussin, Senior Associate, Admiralty and Maritime, West Palm Beach
Roussin focuses his practice on medical malpractice and personal injury defense, representing cruise line clients in admiralty and maritime matters, as well as defending physicians, nurses, hospitals, and mental health centers in high-exposure litigation. His practice encompasses motion practice, trial support, damages analysis, and research on novel issues of law and health care regulation.
Roussin received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida. He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
