GrayRobinson is proud to announce Shareholder Ashlea Edwards has been named the 2025 Woman Lawyer of the Year by the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association (JWLA). This prestigious honor recognizes a woman lawyer who has made meaningful contributions to the legal profession and her community through service and volunteerism, while serving as a positive role model for others. Ashlea, a complex commercial litigator, is also the 2024–25 president of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division.
Throughout her career, Ashlea has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the advancement of women in the legal profession. She has held leadership roles with The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, the Jacksonville Bar Association, including serving on its board of governors and as a past president of the Young Lawyers Section. Her involvement extends to Leadership Florida, the Florida Coastal Alumni Board, and the Chester Bedell Inn of Court.
Since graduating from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2015, Ashlea has built a respected legal practice in the labor and employment space, including in litigation, corporate governance, due diligence in corporate transactions, internal investigations, policy development, and enforcement, and drafting and reviewing employment handbooks and agreements. Additionally, Ashlea works on complex commercial litigation matters. She represents employers in a wide range of matters and defends clients in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, and other administrative bodies.
