FORT MYERS, Fla. – GrayRobinson is proud to announce the addition of U.S. Air Force Veteran Brendan P. Karl as of counsel to its Litigation practice. With over a decade of strategic experience handling complex cases and construction disputes, Karl brings a distinctive perspective to the firm’s Construction Team, drawing on his background as a former federal prosecutor and officer in the USAF JAG Corps.
Located in the firm’s Fort Myers office, Karl brings a wealth of experience in litigation, appellate support, and construction law. His practice spans high-stakes cases in state and federal courts, including construction disputes, contract negotiations, and property issues. Karl's distinguished background as an officer and attorney in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps has honed his ability to manage complex, high-pressure cases.
Originally from Michigan, Karl began his legal career as a trial court law clerk for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit in Lee County, Fla. Additionally, Karl’s military service led him to various locations throughout Florida, Missouri, and overseas, broadening his perspective and cultural awareness. After fulfilling his active-duty service commitment, Karl entered private practice to successfully litigate a wide range of matters, including construction, contract, property, and business disputes.
Karl earned his Juris Doctor with honors from Ave Maria School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Hillsdale College. Karl is licensed to practice in Florida and Michigan before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Eleventh Circuits and multiple U.S. District Courts.
