ORLANDO, FL – December 10, 2013 – Orlando Shareholder W. Michael Clifford earned his recertification as a board certified lawyer in tax law which will take effect June 1, 2013. As a board certified lawyer since June 1, 1998, Clifford has the distinction, as acknowledged by the Supreme Court of Florida, of having special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in tax law, as well as character, ethics, and a reputation for professionalism in the practice of law. He is entitled to represent himself as a "specialist" and "expert" in his field of practice. Clifford’s recertification is valid through May 31, 2018.
Clifford’s practice emphasizes tax law, estate planning and trust and estate administration. He advises individuals, business owners and investors on income and estate tax planning, state and local taxation and inbound investment planning for foreign investors. Clifford also represents individuals, businesses and estates in audits and disputes with tax authorities and has assisted clients with legislation affecting Florida tax matters.
