FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced Eric Yesner has joined its Litigation Section as a senior associate. Located in the Fort Lauderdale office, Yesner focuses his practice on appellate and litigation matters in state and federal court.
Yesner regularly works with private clients and government entities in appeals and litigation, and has extensive experience in trial support, including drafting and arguing dispositive and evidentiary motions. He also devotes a majority of his practice to ERISA and health care litigation, focusing on the full range of employee benefits litigation.
A former triple law clerk, Yesner has clerked for the Honorable Barbara Lagoa at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Honorable Raag Singhal at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the Honorable Jeffrey Kuntz at the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal. He has provided direct support and counsel to judges on legal determination, opinions, and orders, and has researched and analyzed nearly 300 appeals, motions, and other original proceedings in both state and federal trial and appellate courts.
Yesner received his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, his Master of Education from Florida Atlantic University (FAU), and his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from FAU. He is admitted to practice in Florida; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida. Yesner was appointed in July 2020 by Governor Ron DeSantis to serve on the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission, which covers the Fifteenth, Seventeenth, and Nineteenth Judicial Circuits.
