GrayRobinson Welcomes Shareholder James J. Hoctor to Business Law Section

ORLANDO, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced Jim Hoctor has joined its Business Law Section in the Orlando office, where he will focus his practice on all aspects of corporate and business transactions, including the formation, reorganization, sale, and purchase of businesses, as well as applicable tax implications.

“Jim has been a part of the Orlando community for years, and has built an impressive reputation as a highly effective corporate and transactional attorney,” said GrayRobinson President and CEO Dean Cannon. “He has an extensive background in both tax and mergers and acquisitions, which combined with his diligent and honest approach, are the kind of attributes our clients look for. In his 32 year career, Hoctor has closed numerous merger and acquisition transactions across a wide number of industries. He also has significant experience forming and negotiating joint ventures for real estate investment and development. Hoctor frequently represents clients with respect to capital raising transactions for real estate projects and operating businesses. He also provides general counsel to closely-held companies with regard to a wide range of legal issues.

Hoctor received his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law, and his Master of Science in Accounting and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida. He is affiliated with the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, and Orange County Bar Association.
