GrayRobinson Welcomes Shakiva Brown to its Litigation Section

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced Shakiva Brown has joined its Litigation Section as a senior associate in the Fort Lauderdale office, where she will provide legal assistance during all phases of complex foreclosure litigation and general civil litigation matters.

Brown has extensive experience in the consumer finance industry representing banks, lenders, servicers, and private investors in mortgage foreclosures, general civil litigation, and bankruptcy matters. She focuses her practice on a variety of consumer finance litigation areas, including disputes under the Truth in Lending Act; Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act; Fair Credit Reporting Act; Equal Credit Opportunity Act; Fair Debt Collection Practices Act; Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices; and common law claims. She has successfully obtained judgment in numerous bench trials and at summary judgment hearings.

Brown received her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University.
