Kristin is a shareholder in the Tampa law office who focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions. She practices real estate law in a variety of matters, including office buildings, shopping centers, apartment complexes and residential communities. Kristin’s work has involved all aspects of these projects, including acquisitions, financings and dispositions. Kristin has represented a wide range of real estate clients throughout Florida in acquiring and leasing properties, to include ground leases, sale-leasebacks, and retail, office and industrial leasing.
Although Kristin practices primarily in real estate law, she began her career litigating commercial and civil cases, including non-competition and non-solicitation disputes, breaches of contract, landlord-tenant disputes, and intellectual property disputes in federal and Florida state courts. She also has considerable experience dealing with summary judgment and discovery issues, including taking and defending depositions and handling related discovery motion practice in both briefing and oral argument.
Kristin spent two years at the U.S. Naval Academy and regularly volunteers in her community. She helped Seniors in Service develop and launch its Operation Connect Program, a program that recruits, trains, and places Veterans and other family members to help military children succeed and provide fellowship to other veterans in need.
Kristin was born in northern Virginia and moved around most of her life in a military family. She has also lived in North Carolina and Germany, but graduated from high school in Stafford, Virginia. She spent two years at the U.S. Naval Academy and received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Rutgers University. Since obtaining her juris doctor from Stetson University, Kristin has gained experience practicing in both state and federal courts.
