Corporate E-lert -- Gov. Scott Signs the Florida Revised Limited Liability Company Act Into Law

On June 14, 2013 Gov. Scott signed into law Chapter 605 of the Florida Statutes, the Florida Revised Limited Liability Company Act (the "Act"). When the Act becomes effective it will supersede the current law on limited liability companies, Chapter 608 of the Florida Statutes. The Act substantially revises the law relating to limited liability companies in Florida. The Act is based on the Revised Uniform Limited Liability Company Act of 2006 promulgated by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws.
