Valerie Haber Quoted in the South Florida Business Journal

Miami, Fla. – August 19, 2020 – Alcohol beverage and food law attorney Valerie Haber, shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Miami law firm office, was quoted in the South Florida Business Journal article, "What Florida Restaurants Owners Need to Know Before Closing Their Businesses."  The article discusses how restaurant owners are suffering and may be forced to shutter their restaurants for good, and provides suggestions restaurateurs should consider before deciding to close their doors. 

"If a bar is going out of business, then they’ll have the liquor license as an asset to sell when liquidating," said Haber. "There's still demand for these licenses." A liquor license in Miami-Dade County could be worth up to $180,000, she said. Haber added that restaurateurs could still sell the license, pay back the loan and potentially have some cash to spare, depending on how much is owed.
