Steven Solomon Awarded by the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired

MIAMI, FL – December 21, 2018 – Steven J. Solomon, managing director of GrayRobinson’s Miami law firm office, was awarded on December 20 for his six years of service on the board of the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. In this role, he has helped provide strategic direction and leadership for the continuous growth of the organization.

In addition to his board position, Solomon is a chairperson of the external relations committee. This committee manages governance of the organization and the relationship between the Chief Executive Officer and the Miami Lighthouse Board. Steven has more than 25 years of experience in business bankruptcy Chapter 11, out-of-court workouts, restructuring law and representation of fiduciaries. He has represented various constituents in bankruptcy cases, receiverships, assignments for the benefit of creditors and out-of-court workout matters.

Founded in 1931 as the Florida Association of Workers for the Blind, Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired has changed more than just its name during its nearly ninety-year history as Florida's premier rehabilitation organization serving the blind. Miami Lighthouse now serves nearly 17,000 people each year and reaches an additional 3,300 through community education and outreach programs.
