Richard Plotkin Named to Inaugural JAX MVP Class

JACKSONVILLE, FL – May 19, 2016 – GrayRobinson attorney Richard J. Plotkin, located in the firm’s Jacksonville law office, has been selected for the inaugural class of JAX MVP.

JAX MVP is a leadership program developed by the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation. For this inaugural class, the Foundation reached out to partners, sponsors, and other businesses in the Jacksonville area to nominate emerging leaders. While this was the approach taken in the inaugural year, the Foundation may open the nomination up to a broader group of companies and applications in the future.

"The 24 MVPs in the 2016 class are a tremendous group of emerging leaders in the city of Jacksonville and from the Jaguars perspective, we could not be happier with the nominations we received," said Michael Carnahan, Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation Assistant.

The JAX MVP program will run from May 1, 2016 through November 2016 with a primary focus of developing participants’ skills in leadership, community stewardship and networking components, while also raising money for the Foundation. Each JAX MVP member has committed to raising $5000 for the Jaguars Foundation, which will have a great impact on the Jacksonville community. The MVPs will also be meeting each month at EverBank Field for leadership seminars with local leaders. Jaguars Team President, Mark Lamping, introduced the MVPs and the program on April 28th at the Draft Party.

"Overall, the MVPs will be making a big impact through the Foundation’s programs for education, children and families, women’s health issues, and military and veterans support. They will receive exclusive access to local leaders, Jaguars staff and players, and to areas of EverBank Field that are normally off-limits to the public. Ultimately, all MVPs will be recognized for all of their efforts at a VIP party and ceremony at EverBank Field in November," said Carnahan.
