Community Leader Forum – Miami – Teresa King Kinney of the Miami Association of Realtors Discusses Miami as the New Global City

MIAMI, FL – October 3, 2014 - GrayRobinson’s Miami office continued the Firm’s tradition of hosting its signature Community Leader Forum on October 1, 2014, at The Four Seasons Hotel. Clients, attorneys and friends of the Firm gathered to listen to featured speaker, Teresa King Kinney, CEO of the Miami Association of Realtors, discuss "Miami – The New Global City."

Kinney’s presentation shed an interesting light on the current pulse of the real estate market in Miami, Florida. In summary, Kinney’s remarks addressed how the market in the community has consistently gained strength. When compared to the rest of the United States, Money Journal ranked Miami as number two in the top 20 best real estate markets for 2014. Kinney also touched upon the Miami real estate market from an international perspective. With over 120 global partnerships worldwide, Miami has played a central role in helping the state of Florida rank as the number one top state for foreign buyers since 2010. International buyers in 12 out of the top 20 countries specifically search Miami as one of their top choices to purchase property. Kinney, a noted speaker and consultant on leadership, association management, ethics, marketing, professional growth and development, and international real estate received the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Visionary Leader of the Year award, and from the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce she was awarded the Progressive Industry Leadership Award. The Miami Association of Realtors has received three International Business Awards from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to Kinney’s presentation, managing shareholder of GrayRobinson’s Miami office, Steven Zelkowitz made the exciting announcement informing guests of the firm’s new Hospitality industry group, co-chaired by himself and fellow shareholder Michelle Tanzer.
