ORLANDO, FL – March 30, 2020 – Labor and employment attorney Sarah P. Reiner, shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Orlando and Tampa law firm offices, was interviewed by NewsRadio WFLA’s AM Tampa Bay show. The segment, "Unemployment During the COVID-19 Outbreak," discusses the bills recently passed by congress and how they will benefit employees and their employers during the COVID-19 outbreak. As presented in the interview by Reiner, The Family First Coronavirus Response Act, requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. Reiner also discusses the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which provides employers with fewer than 500 employees with forgivable loans to keep their employees employed and to continue covering their health care costs.
