FLORIDA – July 1, 2019 – GrayRobinson announces that attorneys Kenneth B. Jacobs and Veronica A. Meza have been selected for Leadership Florida’s 2019-2020 programs. Jacobs, Jacksonville Managing Director, has been selected for Leadership Florida’s Cornerstone XXXVIII class and Meza, shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Miami office, has been selected for Leadership Florida’s Connect X class. This is the thirty-eighth year Leadership Florida has brought together the best and brightest leaders in Florida.

“We are very proud that both Ken and Veronica have been chosen to participate in these prestigious programs,” said Mayanne Downs, president and managing director of GrayRobinson. “I am confident that they will further strengthen Leadership Florida’s impressive group of leaders.”

The Leadership Florida year-long programs are designed to educate and expose leaders in Florida to the social and economic issues affecting the state and encourage them to use their knowledge and ability to seek solutions for the public interest. The programs were created to build a sense of statewide community by identifying and training individuals with the passion and commitment to help make great things happen. The Cornerstone Program is intended for established leaders in the community while the Connect Program is for up and coming leaders.

Jacobs is the managing director of GrayRobinson’s Jacksonville office and a commercial litigator with substantial experience representing debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases and debt workouts. He has also arbitrated employment and commercial claims and has handled a wide range of employment issues, contract disputes, commercial lending matters and complex construction cases.

Meza focuses her practice on complex commercial and financial institutions litigation at the trial and appellate levels, in state and federal courts. She has represented clients in arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and in cross-border disputes before the International Center for Dispute Resolution. Her experience includes litigating matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, corporate and partnership disputes, banking litigation, consumer protection statutes, the Uniform Commercial Code and banking privacy.
