Mayanne Downs and Fred Schrils Receive National Recognition in Business Journals’ 2019 Top 100 Influencers in Legal Profession List

FLORIDA – July 3, 2019 – President and Managing Director of GrayRobinson, Mayanne Downs, and Frederick S. Schrils, Shareholder and Managing Director of GrayRobinson’s Tampa law firm office, were named to The Business Journals’ 2019 Influencers List. The feature, "Influencers: Law," identifies the top 100 attorneys who are driving business for their firms and clients in cities across the country. The recognized attorneys serve both large, nationally known ventures and smaller, locally focused entities, and have made headlines for the work they have accomplished to date.

Downs was recognized in the publication for her substantial contribution as the first woman president and managing director of GrayRobinson as well as her work as president of the Orange County Bar Association, the Legal Aid Society, the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and the 100,000-member Florida Bar.  Downs has received recognition in multiple publications including Orlando Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful People from 2012-2018, Super Lawyers Top 50 Women in Florida from 2012-2017, and Orange Appeal Magazine’s Women of the Year for 2017. Most recently, she was named Orlando Business Journal’s 2019 CEO of the year.

In addition to serving as managing director of GrayRobinson’s Tampa office, Schrils also serves as chair of the Firm’s securities litigation, arbitration and regulatory practice, regularly representing securities and financial services industry clients, including banks, broker-dealers, registered representatives, investment advisors, and financial planners. He is often called upon to speak at regional and national conferences on matters affecting the securities industry, has been listed in Florida Super Lawyers since 2006, and was named 2019 Lawyer of the Year in Litigation – Securities by Best Lawyers
