ORLANDO, FL – May 29, 2018 – GrayRobinson announced today that Firm president and managing director Mayanne Downs has been appointed by The Florida Bar to The Florida Bar Foundation Board of Directors. The Florida Bar Foundation is a statewide charitable organization whose mission is to provide greater access to justice.
Downs has served in various roles at The Florida Bar including as past president and most recently on the executive director search committee. She currently serves on the Judicial Qualifications Commission, the constitutional agency that investigates judicial misconduct. Downs is also the first woman to serve as president of a major law firm in the southeast, and is also City Attorney for the City of Orlando.
"I'm delighted to join the Foundation's board and will do all I can to help advance its vitally important mission of making sure the law serves all people, regardless of economic means," Downs said.
