Gary Resnick Named to Leadership Florida Class XXXV

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – August 1, 2016 – Attorney Gary I. Resnick, shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Fort Lauderdale law firm office, Mayor of Wilton Manors and chair of the firm’s Communications, Broadband and Cable practice group, has been selected to participate in Leadership Florida’s 35th Class.

Leadership Florida is a year-long program designed to educate and expose a few select individuals to the social and economic issues affecting the state and encourage future leaders to use their knowledge and ability to seek solutions for the public interest. The selection process is always highly competitive and this year was no exception. The program strives to select participants who show a commitment to Florida, demonstrated by community involvement and potential for significant influence on important issues.

Gary concentrates his practice in the representation of local governments and private clients in government and regulatory affairs, communications and cable law, utilities, charter schools and use of rights-of-way. He has been the Mayor of Wilton Manors since 2008 and was City Commissioner for same from 1998-2008. He sits on numerous boards, including immediate past chair of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
